CURRICULUM

Manuel de Meneses Martins, was born in Agualva Village and lives at Praia da Vitória City, Terceira Island, Azores Archipelago. After high school, he created, with others, the Art Gallery “Degrau”, took some art engraving classes at Angra do Heroísmo Museum and did some group art shows. After a break in art related activity he did some arts and crafts, including glass etching and stainglass. During this period he gave a course on the Basics of Glass Etching and Stainglass for Terceira House of Culture in Angra do Heroísmo and also some amateur filmaking, participating in the 1980 Toronto Super 8 Film Festival, with a documentary in Super 8 film format, about Terceira Island Mardi Gras. On 1987 he organized the First Arts and Crafts Meeting at Praia da Vitória. He is an illustrator at Lajes Air Force Base at Terceira Island.
